Introduction

The Reports feature is designed to transform how enterprise drone teams log, review, and share critical observations. Whether you’re managing routine surveillance, infrastructure inspections, or rapid incident responses, this feature enables teams to generate structured Day/Night Shift Reports and Incident Reports based on drone flight logs and media, all from within the FlytBase dashboard.

This enhancement reduces manual documentation effort, empowers cross-team collaboration, and enhances post-flight analysis — particularly valuable in high-security sectors like energy, logistics, construction, and public safety.

Creating a New Report

  1. Log in to your FlytBase dashboard and open the Navigation Drawer. Select Reports.

  1. Choose the type of report you would like to create and then click on the Create Report button.

  • Shift Report – for routine Day/Night Shift reports

  • Incident Report – for documenting specific incidents

Custom Date Range is available for both Shift and Incident Reports. For simplicity, you may also choose Day Shift or Night Shift for any particular day. Day Shift - 6 AM to 6 PM (0600 to 1800 hours) Night Shift - 6 PM to 6 AM (next day) (1800 to 0600 hours)

  1. In the Report Details section:

  • Define the time period for analysis

  • Add a Description for context and internal documentation

  1. Select Relevant Flights: In the Content section, select one or more flights from the dropdown list. You will also see the associated media file count for each flight to assist in quick selection.

  1. Annotate and Attach Media: Review media files linked to the selected flights

  • Annotate observations and markings directly on images as per requirement

  • Attach relevant media with annotations as evidence under observations

For each Report, you may add up to 4 Observations, and each Observation may have up to 10 media files attached.

  1. Review the report details: Before finalizing, review the selected flights, observations, annotations, and attached media to ensure all critical information is accurately documented.

  1. Click on Generate Report. This action will direct you to the Report Generator home page.

Downloading a Report

Once a report is generated, it will be accessible from the Report History section on the Report Generator home page.

  • For a new report, once you click on Generate Report, you will be directed to Report Generator home page. Here, you will see the latest report's entry at the top of the Report History list, with its status as Processing.

  • Click on the Refresh button after a few seconds to refresh the status of the report. When the status changes to Completed, the report will be available for download as a PDF.

  • You can download any report from the Report History section by clicking on the Download button.

  • Within each report, you can download the attached media files in their original form or annotated form, as required.

For each report, the media download links are valid for 2 weeks from the date of creation of the report.
