Diagnostics
The Diagnostics tab displays alerts from the DJI Health Management System(HMS) within FlytBase. It captures every alert reported by the drone or dock, along with key details.
The Health Management System ensures the continuous monitoring of the DJI Dock's and Drone's health status, providing you with real-time notifications through the "Diagnostics" tab in case of any abnormalities. It captures key details such as timestamp, severity, module, error code, and DJI’s recommended resolution.This empowers you to maintain the airworthiness of your dock and drone with ease.
The messages shown in the Diagnostics tab are generated by the DJI dock and drone at the hardware level. FlytBase makes these messages accessible in the dashboard, but the underlying issue may need to be resolved through hardware maintenance, inspection, repair, or overhaul.

Severity levels
The platform forwards three HMS severity levels, colour-coded in the table:

Inform: Yellow
Informational events worth recording but not actionable on their own.
Warning: Orange
Conditions that need attention before the next flight but do not block operations.
Critical: Red
Conditions that require immediate investigation.

Accessing the Diagnostics Tab
Log in to your FlytBase operations dashboard.
Go to "Device Management", and click on "Diagnostics".


Data to View
View and filter various pieces of information to gain deeper insights into your drone and dock health. Here's a brief description of the data options available:
Date & Timeframe Selection: To narrow down your diagnostics view, specify the start and end dates using the date picker.
State Filter: Choose between "In Progress" and "Log" to view real-time health status or previous status logs, respectively.
Device Selection: Monitor the health status of the dock, drone, or both by selecting the appropriate option.
Level Filter: Categorize health statuses as "Warning" or "Critical" to gauge the severity of issues.
Do not fly when the warning affects flight control, propulsion, battery safety, navigation, structural integrity, or safe dock launch and recovery.
Flight may continue with caution when the issue affects a non-essential feature, such as RTK, payload, camera, storage, or obstacle sensing, and the mission can still be completed safely.
Condition-dependent warnings, such as high wind, rain, weak GNSS, dock RTK failure, or network loss, should only be overridden after confirming safe operating conditions and that remote control, recovery, and mission requirements are not compromised.
Error Code Lookup: Refer to the "Error Code" section to identify specific error codes provided by DJI.
Module Filtering: Tailor your diagnostics by selecting the modules you want to monitor. Options include Flight Mission, Device Management, Media, and Device Health.
Viewing Health Status Messages: Explore the "Message" section to access detailed health status information.
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
As part of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), we highly recommend following these steps:
Pre-flight Check: Before each flight, review the Health Alerts to ensure the airworthiness of both your dock and drone. Look for any warnings or critical issues that may affect the safety and performance of your equipment.
In-Flight Check: During a flight, use the HMS overview widget in the drone details view for real-time warnings and errors, to ensure smooth flight operations and informed decisions.

Post-flight Check: After every flight, revisit the Diagnostics tab to verify that no new issues have arisen during the flight operation. Identifying and addressing problems promptly can prevent future complications.
With the Diagnostics feature, you can proactively maintain the health and reliability of your equipment, ensuring safer and more efficient operations - knowing that you have real-time insights at your fingertips.
